Wes Patrick: Operator since 2020
Wes is a graduate of Plainfield High School and Indiana University (B.A. in Arts & Humanities), as well as a former Marine. He lives in Plainfield with his wife and two daughters. He volunteers with IDES (International Disaster Emergency Services) and The Fuller Center in Indianapolis. When he’s not attending his daughters’ sporting events, you can find him fishing in a kayak.
Adam Bowman: Owner/Operator since 1996
Adam, a Hendricks County native, is a graduate of Plainfield High School and the University of Evansville (B.S. in Biology). He enjoys coaching a Special Olympics basketball team and volunteering with Family Promise of Hendricks County. Adam lives in Danville with his wife and two children. When he’s not busy stump grinding, you can find him hunting, fishing, or traveling (sometimes all three at the same time!).
History of the Bowman Boys Stump Grinding
Growing up in their Plainfield neighborhood, owner and operator Adam Bowman and his brothers, Aaron and Luke, were affectionately known as the “Bowman Boys.” The three brothers were always looking for new ways to assist their neighbors and friends with the upkeep and maintenance of their yards, all while making a little spending money for themselves. Eventually Adam began stump grinding using a small grinder during the summer months to help pay for college. 28 years, a biology degree, and many stump grinders later, Adam is still working to serve the Hendricks County community and beyond. The Bowman Boys strive to treat all of their customers just as they did their first ones: like neighbors.
